Is Gym Yoga the Best Solution for You?
Yoga is increasingly gaining importance in the life of people. The awareness about being healthy and using yoga as a means to achieve a well toned and fit body has led to the popularity of gym yoga. Many health conscious people feel that yoga is the best way to achieve a state of calm and to increase the stamina of the body. Yoga also helps to reduce weight and increases the circulation of blood. Gym yoga is the form of yoga which is taught and practiced in the gym as a part of workout program. Various video programs are available which provide methods and steps to practice yoga. Yoga being the oldest form of exercise has a vast history and the gym instructors are specialized in the teaching and practice of yoga. Yoga burns fat as much as gym exercises do. It is a cure for various diseases.
Gym yoga costs less as it forms part of the membership fees of the gym. It forms a part of the workout routine of the gym. But yoga is a form of exercise which can be practiced at any place especially in a yoga studio or in a garden. Yoga can be counted as cardio and it provides flexibility to the body. It helps to reduce weight. There is variety in yoga; various postures can be tried as compared to a regular workout at a gym. Choosing the right time for yoga is very important. Yoga practiced in the morning leads to better results and keeps one energized throughout the day. Gym yoga will take place at the time of the gym which can vary from person to person.
Yoga learnt in the gym can also be consistently practiced after the membership of the gym is completed. It has long term benefits. Many people who do not have enough space for yoga can choose gym yoga with yoga socks or similar accessories. There is no risk of injury in case of gym yoga and it is a perfect form of workout. One need not combine other exercises along with gym yoga because there will be no stamina left at the end of it all. Gym yoga does not leave you tired and hungry instead it freshens the mind and body. Gym yoga is not competitive; there is no target to reach or no predetermined number of exercises to be done.
To go for gym yoga or not depends on the requirements of each individual. If one has a membership of the gym where yoga is taught, it will be comparatively cheaper than going to a yoga studio. Gym yoga will provide variety along with the trainer’s guidance about the set goals. If combined with cardio and aerobic exercises, gym yoga could be exhausting. Hence, it depends on the mind and body requirements of an individual if gym yoga is the best solution or not. Gym yoga or yoga otherwise will always have a long term effect on the body of the individual. It will make you fitter, happier and peaceful.
Read MoreParties We Should Have Instead Of Weddings
Who likes to go to weddings? Who likes to go to funerals? These are two types of celebrations (a funeral can be considered to be a celebration of life) that happen often and usually without much enthusiasm from the guests. Let’s face it: weddings are long, boring, and you are almost always required to bring a gift. Funerals, well, funerals are just sad. Of course, there are only conventional parties that evoke a range of different emotions from attendees. These other parties include, but are not limited to: bachelor and bachelorette parties, baby showers, anniversary parties, engagement parties, and so on. But how do the unconventional parties measure up in the realm of things? You know, the parties that might actually have a weight list, the parties that would be fun and well attended. Let’s take a look.
One Of The Most Popular Unconventional Parties
Lately, a specific type of unconventional party has been quite popular in pop culture through films, television shows, and music. This type of party is known as a “donor party.” More specifically, this type of party is all about sperm donation, and is usually thrown by the woman wanting to conceive a child. This subject was the theme for the 2010 film The Switch, starring Jennifer Aniston. Though this party still isn’t as universally accepted as other parties, such as bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and baby showers, the “donor party” is becoming more known.
Other Types Of Unconventional Parties
There’s a long list of other types of unconventional parties that, as of lately, are being thrown worldwide. For example, the infamous ‘divorce party’ has become quite popular over the years. The title says it all: instead of celebrating the marriage, you celebrate the fact that you are no longer married. This event is popular amongst women, mainly those who were once married to unappreciative or cheating men.
Sex and the City has paid tribute to this idea as well, with series regular character, Samantha Jones. Samantha throws an ‘I don’t have a baby, baby shower’ type party. This of course has all of the guests celebrating the fact that they do not currently have children.
Other unconventional parties that have become increasingly popular include, but are not limited to: the not-pregnant party (women celebrating they are not pregnant after a terrifying pregnancy scare), starting a new job party (the title says it all), the coming-out party (for gays, debutants, etc.), and last but not least, the parent party (a way to raise money for different costs that arise once you have children).
Everyone has been to the run-of-the-mill, traditional parties that get thrown all too often. These basic parties are of course your bachelorette parties, your engagement parties, your weddings and funerals, and even the customary birthday parties. However, other types of parties are (finally) becoming more popular and more socially accepted. These types of parties of course include divorce parties; I’m not pregnant parties, and sperm donating parties. Though these types of parties have a long way to go before becoming universally recognized and accepted, it’s safe to say that they are on their way.

Read MoreHow to be the Perfect Bridesmaid
Playing the role of bridesmaid is a dream coming true for some, while it’s a nightmare for the rest of us. A bridesmaid has to carry a certain amount of attention and stress which isn’t quite necessary, although it’s not as stressful as being a maid of honor. This again will depend on the number of bridesmaids attending a particular ceremony. This spring some of us may have played the role of being a bridesmaid to our cousins and sisters; it may have posed a challenge for most of us to look nice and yet not make a bridezilla of our loved ones.
Look good but not too good
Getting pampered by the friends and household members right from the morning of the wedding is common thing. You’re destined to look beautiful when you already have your favorite cascading curls and dresses in place. The last thing that you want is to outshine your own sister on the day of her wedding; its nightmare and you still want to look good. Just in case you commit that mistake – you must follow a routine make-up. Don’t get down to your target weight for a special day and avoid the fake tan. Remember, you’re doing it deliberately!
Find time to join the family
Family bickering has some key hotspots, and there’s no better opportunity for it than attending a wedding ceremony. You may choose to work as a mediator between two different families. Introduce yourself to the groom’s family, inquire about their journey to the wedding and make them feel more comfortable. Try this one out especially when you haven’t met the groom’s family before. The guests being stressed by the bride is the last thing that you’d want. You may choose to convey messages between members of the bridal party and the in-laws. Now, that’s sheer diplomacy!
Play your part
Get in touch with the bride a few weeks prior to the wedding; make sure if there’s something that needs to be worked upon. You may need to deliver a speech or read out something for the guests – you’re not required to beat around the bush! For instance, you might be asked to recite a poem; it will certainly reflect your creative contribution and earn you a place in the good books of your extended family.
Stay prepared for anything
You’ll need to ensure that the bride is absolutely comfortable with all your ideas besides having fun. You’ll need to prepare yourself for about anything; you may need to hook her into her wedding gown or search for breath mints in Tesco early in the morning. In our times, a bridesmaid nearly fulfills all responsibilities of a superwoman.
In the end, you mustn’t forget that it’s an occasion wherein all of you are supposed to look happy. The air has to be filled in with laughter. When everyone’s smiling at you, it doesn’t really matter when a couple of things go wrong; you must cherish the success of playing the role of a bridesmaid. Sticking to these norms will eventually show you through the pleasure of inviting others, the sooner you get an opportunity to walk up the aisle. But if you want to make sure the wedding will be all right, search for banquet halls in Los Angeles, where professionals can help you to organize everything.

3 Easy Yoga Exercises to Relieve Stress
While all forms of exercise can help to boost the mood, yoga is particularly known for its outstanding ability to naturally relieve stress.
If you are looking for easy yoga exercises that will help you to eliminate stress then you’re in the right place. The following three exercises will rejuvenate both your body and mind, and you only need to do them for just 20 minutes a day to start seeing results! Sounds good right?
Corpse Pose
Don’t let the name put you off! The corpse pose is the perfect way to begin your relaxation routine. This yoga pose offers complete relaxation of the entire body. When practicing this pose you will need to concentrate your efforts into slow and steady breathing, aiding the quietening of the mind. To fully allow yourself to melt into this asana, relaxing music can be used to set the mood.
Corpse pose is one of the best practices for stress relief. It has also proven beneficial to those suffering with mild depression. One of the most challenging aspects of this pose is releasing the tension in the upper thighs. To counteract this problem try placing two 10 pound bags of sand on the top of each thighs.
Warrior Pose
Warrior pose comes in a variety of different forms, all of which are standing poses making them ideal for those looking to practice yoga when out and about. Standing poses such as the warrior pose encourage the building of strength and stamina. They also nurture internal strength providing a boost to self esteem and confidence.
When practicing warrior pose be aware of the alignment of your hips, as you want to direct them so they always remain equal and not off centre. For example, if your right leg is forward then try to reposition the left hip to come forward, rather than swaying back as this will put the lower torso out of proper alignment. The correct positioning of hips is essential to the warrior pose. The trick is to keep them squared and equally balanced.
Upward Arm Stretch
If you’re stuck behind a desk all day then the upward arm stretch is the perfect yoga exercise for you! Sit in a chair facing the wall and place your hands as high on the wall as possible. Now walk your fingers slowly higher up the wall, causing you to stretch out your lower back. Broaden your shoulders by separating and lifting your shoulder blades. Don’t tense your shoulders, only lift them. Keep your throat and neck soft. Once your fingers are as high up the wall as they can be, hold the position until your body has adjusted and then continue to walk your fingers higher. Rest and repeat several times a day.
This pose is ideal for those suffering with lower back pain that is causing a build up of tension. Try to practice this exercise for a few minutes every day if you want to see the benefits.

Read MoreHow to Get Your Boyfriend Involved in Party Planning and Catering
It is oftentimes said that “two is great but three is crowd”. If you are planning to host a party and catering event for a party and you have no one to bank upon, you surely can trust your boyfriend. But most importantly, you have to develop the interest in him so that his efforts are paid off and it should not be that he is forced to work with you.
In order to develop his interest in the planning and catering service event, entrust him with the work he loves doing the most. For instance, if he is more into paperwork stuff, ask him to make a list of the guests and check the number of invitees, make sure that all the guests have been invited and sent invitation cards. Depending on the area of interest of your boyfriend, you can seek his help.
Know the common preferences of guests
When you are counting heads, find out the common factors among them. For instance, if 3 or more guests are attending the event from the same place, you can provide a separate vehicle to pick them up from the airport. Remember, right from the time the guests are received from the airport till the time they are not dropped at the airport for returning to their respective hometown, the entire responsibility of planning and catering lies in your hands.
It is important to know the food preferences of your guests. Also take into account the age of the guests. For instance, you will come across many guests that prefer to have lighter meals and few will want to have spicy food. So, you will have to keep an account of the taste preferences of these guests. The more accurately you can address needs of your guests, the better it is.
Also convince your boyfriend that if he can help you in the planning and catering event of the party, it will help you to make a place in the list of event management and planners. And for that you need his assistance. He will surely, not turn down your request. In other words, depending on his interest, you delegate his task.
Draw up a list of interesting recipes
While you deal with the planning and dealing with vendors for the events, ask him to look for interesting recipes that can be prepared for the guests and he can do this by doing some research on the World Wide Web and finding out which recipes suit best for the type of event that is being hosted. If it is a party, is it a kids’ party or a party that will have only elderly guests. Also important is to plan out the event depending on the type of gathering, for example, is it a corporate gathering, a semi formal meet, or an informal social gathering.
It is important to tap the interests of your boyfriend if you want to engage and involve him in the party planning and catering event of which you have taken the responsibility.
Don’t you have any idea about the place? Look around banquet halls in Los Angeles!
Read MoreGoing Out or Eating In: The Pros and Cons of Each Dining Experience
When the mid-afternoon lull rolls around at the office, you know what is on everyone’s mind: what will I eat for dinner? Sure, it can be fun to make plans with family and friends for an evening culinary treat, but it can seem like a big hassle to decide to go out to a particular restaurant or to stay in and cook something special. Either way comes with pros and cons: going out to a restaurant provides atmosphere and elegance that sometimes cannot be matched at home, but the quality might not be as good as what you can prepare yourself. Eating at home might be a lot cheaper than going out, but it comes with the pressure to navigate through a new recipe to impress your family and guests. Keeping finances, timing, and dietary needs in mind, it is easy to make a choice between these options and not waste too much energy or money in the process.
Enjoying a Meal at the Restaurant: High Prices for Good Quality
Eating out is the best way to accommodate for different or changing taste buds coming together at the same table. With all the preparation done by professionals, eating out means that you don’t have to worry about anything from setting the mood or preparing delicious food. Be ready, however, to shell out extra money for this experience: especially for meals that are easy to prepare, you might end up spending over ten times the normal price of the ingredients when eating at a restaurant. Don’t forget the one thing you can’t control – service. You can hope that the staff will treat you kindly and do their job well, but it’s something that you can’t control even if the place has a fabulous reputation.
Eating at Home: Endless Possibilities but all the Responsibility
Many people enjoy eating at home because it allows for flexibility and creativity in the kitchen. Enjoy a particular cuisine that’s difficult to find in local restaurants? Or, even worse, do you have a food allergy or other dietary restriction that makes it difficult to eat out without worry? Staying home and cooking can be a great way to take care of these issues, and cooking yourself can be an enjoyable experience. Novice chefs can find lots of great advice online about cooking through online recipe databases and forums for beginner chefs. One big tip is to shop for good quality fresh products that are currently in season. The best option is to search online for the seasonal production of foods, and to plan your at-home meals according to this schedule.
To Drink, or Not To Drink: at home and at the restaurant
Another big culprit of high restaurant bills is the addition of fancy alcoholic drinks to your menu. Often, the markup of wine, beer, and liquor at a restaurant can be astronomical without any direct relationship to the quality or strength of your drinks. Instead of ordering lots of sugary fancy drinks that can drain your wallet, order one nice wine to enjoy by the glass or by the bottle, depending on the preferences of your guests. Or better yet, focus on the dining experience and enjoy a nightcap once you’re back at home.
At the same time, purchasing large quantities of alcohol to fully stock an at-home bar for you and your guests can be difficult, and it takes a lot of the freedom away from your guests to choose that kind of wines, beers, or mixed drinks that they prefer. If you’re hosting a dinner for guests, it’s often nice to offer a particular specialty “house drink” – such as a kir royale or a whiskey ginger – that serves as a conversation piece and a fancy treat, while also asking them to bring additional drinks that suit their tastes and supplement your limited offerings.
Reducing your Bill: How to Save Money At the Restaurant
The key to saving money while eating out is to enjoy one course to the fullest. Often, the biggest part of a restaurant bill is the cost of all the extras: bottled water, extra appetizers and soups for the table, side salads and dishes that accompany your main entree, which ultimately render you unable to complete your main meal. Or worse, you celebrate the feat of consuming so much food that you end up ordering a less-than-stellar dessert. Of course, you can splurge on something special when the opportunity arises, but the best course of action in terms of saving money is to focus on one or two items to order that will leave you satisfied both aesthetically and gastronomically satisfied. If you really want to sample a wider variety of food, go with a group of friends or family who would enjoy the experience of selecting a few plates of appetizers to share as a group.
Whether you choose to go out or stay home, there are many ways to enhance your experience and be frugal. But if you still find yourself stuck between the two options – split the difference, and order take-out!
