GirlSource was founded in 1998 by entrepreneur, activist, and author Lynn Gordon. Lynn is the author of more than 80 titles for children and adults and the creator of the internationally recognized 52 deck series with titles including 52 Adventures in San Francisco and 52 Activities for Kids in the Car among many others.
True to her lifelong commitment to women’s issues, Lynn used her success from her business and the 52 Activities series to launch GirlSource and develop entrepreneurship among low-income young women. Lynn moved on to other projects in 2000, but GirlSource continues to be guided by its original mission of providing meaningful employment and leadership opportunities to low-income young women, ages 14-18.
